The Iowa Insurance Division requires all licensed adjusters in the state to file a $50,000 surety bond. This bond ensures insurance adjusters will conduct business according to Iowa Statutes: Chapter 522C. 

Note: As of July 1, 2025, the required bond amount is $50,000 for both independent and public adjusters. Formerly, only public adjusters needed a surety bond with $20,000 coverage.
